The 'Ocean View' residential lots did not always exist. Sadly, these houses did not make the cut when the game was still in development. As one excels in the game, they will unlock more houses to move their Sims into. In The Sims FreePlay, one's Sim's residence is an important part of the game. There, they can eat, sleep, play, learn, garden, etc. Some hobbies can even be practiced in their Sim's residence.

The home that one begins the game with is located on one of the 'standard' lots, which are smaller and much cheaper to build on than the 'ocean view' lots. The Architect Homes Tab is also removed on my device as well. I'm playing the iOS version of the game on iPod touch 4th Gen. Then you will have to wait patiently to see if your design has been chosen. If your design has been chosen and shown in the Architect Homes tab, you will not get a notification or any rewards.
